Rec. Park on the Willimantic River

On Saturday August 11, 2001 at 2:16 PM the Tolland County Dive Team was requested to the town of Willimantic for a reported Drowning at Rec. park on the Willimantic River.  Several Units from Crystal Lake, Eagleville, Ashford, Coventry, Andover along with Service 119 were on the air immediately.  HQ-22 was on the air and responding from Columbia. The victim was found by Willimantic Firefighters prior to most of our teams arrival.  We were returned with thanks.  From the radio traffic on 33.78 after the tones went out it sounds like we had another tremendous response.
